Driving from Tabernash toward Frisco/Winter Park on Hwy 40, the road goes over the railroad
tracks. As it bends to follow the tracks into Frisco, I found a place to pull off and get onto the tracks. These are the tracks the passenger train, the
California Zephyr takes on its journey from Chicago, IL to Emeryville, CA. That is a 2,438 mile route.
The train makes a stop in Frisco before proceeding to Winter Park, through the Moffat Tunnel and on into Denver. This view shows some of the
ski slopes of the Winter Park Ski Resort in the distance.
