Taking a drive anywhere outside of Fraser/Winter Park is going to provide scenery that will astound. Taking CO Highway 517 out of
Fraser and driving many miles into the hills, forests and mountains brought me to the entrance to the Young Life Crooked Creek Ranch. Young Life purchased
close to a 1,000 acre section of the Murphy Cattle Ranch in 1994. It is a beautiful site.
Driving back down the gravel road from the Crooked Creek Ranch entrance, I had the above scene in front of me. It was too
good to pass up and such a great example of what this whole area is about - ranch land, evergreens, ski slopes, mountains, blue
sky. It makes you glad to live in Colorado.
