      storm aftermath
After a weekend long storm, we finally got a break - no sunshine but at least the snow had stopped. I grabbed my camera, jumped in my Jeep and drove towards the moutains - but not too far since the roads were still treacherous.

I was at the Denver Botanical Gardens at the Chatfield Reservoir and heading along what I am sure was a dirt road - although it was snow-packed at the time. I came to this opening that highlighted the snow-covered trees against the dark sky of the retreating storm.
