After entering Rocky Mountain National Park at the Beaver Meadows entrance, the first left
is Bear Lake Road - which leads to one of the most scenic areas of the park. Bear Lake Road descends into the wide open
valley of Moraine Park. There are several trailheads here, a very large park campground and one of the best locations in the
park for elk viewing.
We had our Golden Retriever with us, so had stopped here to let her do some running. What a wonderful place to stretch ones legs,
whether you have 4 legs to stretch or just 2.
