      feeding moose
On Saturday, July 24, 2010, we took a leisurely drive to Estes Park with the intent of driving into, over and through Rocky Mountain National Park. It seemed to be a great day for photo opportunities. Much to our dismay, it was a very hazy day compounded by road work near the summit that had all of us driving on gravel. The dust was everywhere. However, while not great for photographs, the scenery was still inspiring.

Having just exited the park and heading towards Grand Lake, we spotted something large and brown off to the side of the road. Wow! This was one large moose - just leisurely feeding. I joined many, many others who stopped to view and take pictures. There was another moose with this one but he or she stayed out of direct site. They seem unphased by our presence. What another wonderful experience.
