Chatfield State Park is 5,600 acres, centered around the Chatfield Reservoir on the South Platte River in
the foothills of the Front Range on the southwest side of Denver. Bike trails abound - coming into the park, circling the reservoir, heading out to residential communities.
It is a beautiful area where you can camp, fish, hike, bike, picnic, swim, even fly a model airplane just beyond the city limits.
After a recent early spring snow storm, the temps warmed up melting the snow quickly and bringing people out to enjoy the sun and warmth. I had just biked 6 miles
along the South Platte and was resting at the top of the Reservoir dam when I grabbed a shot of another biker going by.
